my daily struggle with time

I stepped back from an active professional life about a year back.It was a conscious decision since I worked out that the kind of life style I was maintaining,I could continue living the same with what I had. Moreover I fathomed that if I continued working,it would only increase my bank balance without any correspondent enhancement in my living style.

After about ten days of this new way of life,I found a void developing in my life.My phone rang less frequently, people had less time for me,spending time became a big issue.

I thought I will add some new activities in my daily routine.I was already journaling daily and also doing brisk walking in the evening. Then I started learning vocal music and also increased my daily time for reading.Though all these activities made me happy but that void remained. In fact it still remains.I feel that unless you do something solid daily, something that is challenging to you-mentally as well as physically-you can not enjoy life.

I am a physically fit person and there is no reason why I should have stopped working professionally.Maybe I could have reduced my working hours-since I was running my own show-but completely getting out was not a wise decision.

Since a big gap has formed between my active professional life and now time,I am not able to again get involved in my earlier profession.A case of short shelf life.

I am looking for new opportunities which are challenging and which will help me fill the void in my life.

Hard truth of life is that you should continue with your profession-unless something more interesting comes up — till your physical and mental allows you.An inactive life is useless.
